Some apps want to optimize your life.We just want your dog to have a good afternoon.
How it started
Blame the dog-sitting.
PeppyStep is a mother-daughter operation, plus one very important dog. Sevyn's the daughter, Lindsay's the mom, and Stevie's the dog.
Every time Sevyn left town, Lindsay took Stevie, got her steps in, and sent back full reports: where they wandered, who they met, exact treat count. Sevyn loved the updates. Lindsay loved the walks. Stevie loved the treats.
So they put their heads together and built the app those reports deserved.
A few things we believe
The bond is the point.
Everything we build comes back to what happens between you and your dog. That's the whole job.
Your dog is the main character.
You play the supporting role. They've clearly earned a party hat. Maybe several.
Celebrate, don't measure.
A slow Mosey and a full-tilt Zoomies count the same around here. Both made the day better.
Assume the best of people.

Meet Stevie
She's the husky-shepherd mix this whole thing is named after — and she is, to be clear, ridiculous.
Athletic in theory, clumsy in practice. Sweet, a little sassy, socially awkward in a way we find deeply relatable. She'll smell every flower, try to eat something she shouldn't, and pretend she's never heard the word "sit" — then fling herself into your lap for a cuddle. She's a lot, and we adore every bit of her.
She's also a rescue.
A shelter took a chance on Stevie once. So we send 1% of our subscription revenue back to the ones still doing that work.
She was born July 22. We launched July 22. We're exactly that sentimental.
